Owner Unknown’s escape games are going global

This September, we’ve taken the first step toward realizing our international dreams. As passionate storytellers and game creators, we are thrilled to share our meticulously crafted escape games—De Stalker, De Zwerver, and De Vitaloog—with escape game enthusiasts worldwide, far beyond our beloved Netherlands.

Our Kickstarter Success – A Global Milestone

Our journey across borders began with the launch of Owner Unknown, our international entity, and a successful Kickstarter campaign. Through this campaign, we aimed to secure funds to translate and adapt our games and puzzles into English and German. But we also wanted to gauge the international excitement for our unique game boxes.

And what a response we received! Thanks to your incredible support:

• We raised an impressive €18,246, reaching 121% of our funding goal.
• Backers from 17 countries, including Germany, Finland, France, Canada, Greece, the USA, and Australia, joined our journey.

What’s Next for Owner Unknown?

We’re diving into the hard work of bringing our games to life in multiple languages. Here’s what we’re up to:

• Translating De Stalker, De Zwerver, and De Vitaloog into English as The Stalker, The Drifter, and The Vitalogist.
• Adapting them into German as Stalker, Streuner, and Vitalcoach.

This involves not only translating text but also ensuring the same thrilling and immersive gameplay across all versions. From storylines and maps to videos, instructions, clues, WhatsApp interactions, and even the helpdesk—everything is getting a seamless language adaptation.
